I know, I know. I’m not a real blogger. My last post was nearly five months ago and I’ve left you hanging. Kick me out of the blogger club.
But in my absence I have continued to document my adventures and I am finally able to share them!
A couple months ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to work with The Wildflowers event planning and design team and pose as their BRIDE for a styled shoot! I barely made it in a dress to my own high school prom, so when I was asked to pose in bridal wear I was at first a little anxious. However, thanks to an incredible team, all went well and the results were absolutely gorgeous.
First things first, can we just sit and appreciate this beautiful display the Wildflowers team created?? Can you set a table like that? Betcha can’t. I promise you I was in hair and makeup for what only felt like ten minutes and then I turned around to all this beauty!
Speaking of hair and makeup…
Natalia Issa took me from sleepy face to angelic bride in a matter of minutes! If i were to attempt this, I’d be in the mirror all day long. Natalia was so sweet and encouraging. My favorite thing about her work is that I still looked like myself and didn’t feel caked or covered up. She simply enhanced me! Can you please turn me into an angel everyday Ms. Natalia?
After hair and makeup came more fun…stepping into my first bridal gown!
This wasn’t your typical wedding dress either. This gown was one of the most beautiful and unique works of art I had ever seen. Nardos Design creates custom couture gowns and is based in Dallas, Texas. If I were a bride on the hunt for the perfect yet unique gown, Nardos would most definitely be my go to.
I even got flowers and a husband! Well..for the day. Maxine of The Southern Table floral, was sweet enough to let me take my bouquet home for memories. I didn’t get to take my husband of the day home but we became good friends!
Eventually all of the fun and beauty had to come to an end. But I am so grateful to have had this opportunity. There are a million other models in the world with more experience and grace ( because moving around in those gowns was a JOB) but for some reason I was chosen to be part of this amazing team. I thank God for allowing me to be surrounded by so many beautiful things and people this year.
